The clear rules

As a company for direct and express transport, we work exclusively in accordance with the basic provisions of the VBGL/CMR. For a better understanding of what these basic provisions really mean, we provide below a detailed overview of our liability conditions.

Liability limits – national (liability under the German Commercial Code – HGB):

Damages to goods (excl. waterway transport) 8.33 SDR*/Gross-kg
Upper limit (in damages to goods) extendable by individual agreement up to 40 SDR*/Gross-kg
Damages due to delay, three times the freight costs

Liability limits – international (liability under the CMR):

Damages to goods 8.33 SDR*/Gross-kg
NO contractual raising of the upper limit possible!
Damages due to delay equals freight costs

No insurance protection for the following types of goods:

live animals and/or plants
goods to be towed and/or salvaged (damaged goods)

Goods transport insurance (all-risk insurance)

Since regular liability in the case of damages is limited by the legislator, we offer you the option to insure valuable goods beyond the statutory cover. To this end we require conclusive information on the value of the goods as well as the type of the materials to be transported.
